Support » Plugin: Sumo - Boost Conversion and Sales » Mobile Landing Page doesn’t work since updating

  • Resolved bryanpw1

    Since updating to list builder two weeks ago, the mobile version of the site no longer displays correctly and makes my page look messed up to visitors. I have tried to have it fixed with Sumo support in vain. They’ve been blaming my theme, but I only updated Sumo and my theme’s creator confirms it is the Sumo plugin that is coded. Interesting I have to agree with my site’s creator because prior to the Sumo update two weeks ago the Sumo plugin worked fine. This needs to be fixed! As a paying customer this is fraud to not fix and issue Sumo created, so far Sumo has not fixed the issue and says they won’t fix it according to their support contact.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Very sorry to hear you are having issues with your Welcome Mat 🙁

    I took a look into your case and it appears Seth has been assisting and you may have some custom CSS that is being applied to the Welcome Mat by your theme that is causing the issue.

    If you can adjust your site theme CSS code to not apply to all of the elements using the Universal Selector (*), but rather apply your site styling to the actual site elements (and have it not apply to Sumo elements), the mobile Welcome Mat on your site should then show without issue.

    If you are still having trouble or have any other questions, feel free to reach out either via your existing support ticket or a new one 🙂

    Hope this helps!

    Let me be clear, the welcome matt worked perfectly before the Sumo plugin was updated!!!

    My theme creator is not going to update the theme for ONE plugin that has now broken due to its own update, WHICH I AM PAYING FOR MONTHLY. The welcome matt worked before the Sumo update, my theme did not change! You can’t update a plugin and then blame the site for the problems… well, unless you’re Sumo. It worked fine before the update to the welcome matt, so you changed something. It’s very clear that Sumo will not fix this and will continue to want theme creators to modify their code instead. Here’s the response from my theme creator, Notable Themes:

    Hey Bryan,

    Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately we are not able to update the theme in order to support a particular plugin but you should be able to update the plugin’s CSS to work around this.

    .my-plugin-element {
    max-width: [whatever you want];

    Since tribe theme sets the max width to 100%, you should be able to set the plugin’s max-width to “none” so the plugin doesn’t use that parameter. I would recommend working with SUMO’s team to find out what plugin element is affected by the 100% max width and see what width you can use to override it.
