Support » Plugin: Media Library Assistant » MLA plus masonry layout

If you go to you will see a masonry layout which is displaying all my post images via shortcode. That plugin is called WP Masonry Layout for what it’s worth.

Just above the display is a searchbox utilizing a shortcode you provided here on the forum for displaying results from a public search of the media gallery.

It all works (search on “landscape” if you like), however I really need the search results to display in a masonry format like they do on the home page.

I can’t figure out how to do this since both plugins operate via independent shortcodes.

The reason I use the specific Masonry layout plugin is because it will grab the image from each post and allow infinite scrolling through them until the last post. Thus creating an image blog in a Pinterest style format on the front page of the site.

Any ideas are welcome as to solving this 🙂

Thank you for bringing WP Masonry Layout to my attention and for your question. I have activated a copy of the “lite” version on my test system and done some research. I do not see any way to accomplish your goal with the current version of that plugin.

I have started a topic in their support forum:

Masonry Gallery for a list of attachment IDs

I will leave this topic unresolved until I hear back from them. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

Thanks so much David! I started one there too but yours gives the quandary a proper “name”. It even helps me better understand the problem 🙂

    Hi David,

Really sorry for your requirement here. Our plugin doesn’t work with Galleries. It is just for post, post type and pages.

I am marking this topic resolved, because there is nothing MLA can do to help; I regret the news was not better. Thanks for your understanding and your interest in MLA.
