Support » Plugin: Swift Performance Lite » Mixed up my site and FTP!!

  • This plugin should not even get 1 star. It messed up my site.
With the first update my WP-editor got jammed, and my Wordfence plugin started to act weird, not recognizing my own IP.

Later, when I uninstalled it, still new plugins could not be activated without problems.
In the end it turned out that they don’t use the plugin-folder in your FTP (wp-content), but another map. So when you think you deleted it, it still is somewhere there.
After final removal my site en plugins calmed down.

And about those annoying ads on your dashboard: that is TRUE. They can’t make it bigger!!! So bad!

Sorry to hear you experience some trouble with our product.

In general, Swift plays well with the majority of sites. We have 1000s of sites that run without any issue, but as there are thousands of different setups, themes, plugins and combinations, it can cause issues. A conflict with a plugin or theme is always possible.

In the future it would be nice if you first open a support request and gave us (or any plugin author, for that matter) a little time to respond before posting a bad review. We would have liked to have helped you and thus improved our product.

Swift stores cache and optimization files in /wp-content/cache/swift-performance/.. just like most other cache plugins in the market.

Regarding the annoying ads, Swift Performance Lite is free for the users, but not for us. It is sponsored by pro users and ads. But you can easily close it, and it will never be shown after.
