mixed shipping method – Aus Post & Flat rate

    Hello,
    I am using the Australia Post Shipping Method extension, which is working well. I have also set up a shipping class for a group of products. For this class I have assigned a shipping class cost. My problem is that when products in this class are added to the cart, the default postage is the shipping class cost, regardless of any other products in the cart that are not in the shipping class.
    Is a flat rate not the best method for this? I have to charge separately for this class of product as I do not send them directly, I order them from a 3rd party and they send to the customer.
    I hope this makes sense and someone can help…!!
