# Mixed Messages

 * I just updated MP and although i haven’t even played with it much, it looks like
   a brilliant plugin.
 * However, i would advise against showing this irksome message:
 * “You’ve updated to MailPoet 2.6.15
    You updated! It’s like having the next gadget,
   but better.” and then… “Hey! Your site is running an old software!”
 * Wow that’s a slap in the face!
 * Having just updated it’s strange to see that i’m running old software and not
   knowing what that software might be as i’m using the next gadget, but better.
 * Why not just say that PHP 5.3 is needed for future updates to the plugin? Not
   only that, moving to more recent PHP seems like a difficult step for a lot of
   Hosts.
