    OOPS!

I was trying to change the site to a Pinterest “style” theme and got carried away. I upgraded my Magazine Basic Theme and just glossed over the part where it said customizations would be lost. I didn’t realize that widgets are customizations.

The site (http://annekleinberg.com) has changed completely and its dreadful. Before I pull out all my hair, is there a magic “go backwards” move? My server is godaddy.

    Grateful for any help.

Try restoring your site of the day before using the calendar system at GoDaddy. If you cannot locate it, contact GoDaddy support.

Did you look for ‘inactive’ widgets (scroll down on widgets admin page)? They are likely there still.

Do you have a backup of your site or ask GoDaddy?

Seems like maybe an update issue for others?

You may also look at the cached content of your site on Google to help rebuild your widgets (if necessary).

    Thank you all!

I phoned godaddy and they walked me through it. It worked!

    Whew!

Now that its done… any suggestions for a more appealing/less confusing site theme/design? More contemporary? I have several “businesses”, so I need links to all my sites, I write a blog, and I have some general static information. I realize this might not be the right forum – if not – where?

    Thanks again for the rescue!

We are glad that your site is up and running! 🙂
For the new questions above, I suggest you open a separate thread describing the issue and linking to your site. That would be more helpful to reply and to track the forums topic-wise.

Thanks again Krishna – will do!
