# Missing website

 * All I know is I get emails saying word press has updated my plugins etc….However
   my webpage is completely blank and my word press log in dose not work and says
   I dont exist. What happened, how do I get my website back? I am not savvy and
   really dont know what to do about this as everything in my past emails dosent
   seem to work.

 * There’s a “500” error, which means “something broke”.
 * Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t
   find the log, please contact your host.
 * Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/

 * You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of 
   the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one
   to identify the source of your troubles.
 * If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to [deactivate plugins](https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F).

 * If not fixed try that too
 * Try [downloading WordPress](https://wordpress.org/download/) again, access your
   server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients), or a file 
   manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your
   copies of everything except the `wp-config.php` file and the `/wp-content/` directory
   with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your
   core files without damaging your content and settings.
    Some uploaders tend to
   be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original 
   files before replacing them.
