 * Hi!
 * I have two issues with Slimstat stats about visitors. First of all it seems barely
   no visitors from Facebook are counted. It says that only about 5% of the referrals
   about are from Facebook. But WP statistics says it is about 1/3 of there visitors
   that come from Facebook. And that seems to be more accurate considering the response
   of the marketing activities I do on Facebook.
 * Secondly I started using Cloudflare this weekend and that has resulted in a remarkable
   drop in the stats on Slimstat. The number of visitors according to Slimstat suddenly
   dropped to less than half the numbers I had before Cloudflare was implemented.
   There are no noticable difference in the stats on Google Analytics or WP Statistics.
   So this is isolated to Slimstat.
 * Considering these issues I’m now considering to uninstall Slimstat as it doesn’t
   seem reliable.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fmissing-visitors%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Dear [@liwslust](https://wordpress.org/support/users/liwslust/),
 * thank you for your feedback. It is very helpful to allow us to improve our code.
   Let me address the two issues you point out:
 * 1) This could be because of filters or other settings that are preventing the
   tracker from identifying those pageviews. Are you currently using Slimstat in
   Client or Server mode? (see Slimstat > Settings > Basic) I suspect you’re using
   Client mode. Users nowadays install browser extensions that prevent trackers
   like Slimstat from doing their job. I would recommend switching the tracker to
   Server Mode to improve its accuracy.
 * 2) Slimstat, as far as we know, is fully compatible with Cloudflare and other
   cloud caching solutions. Please make sure you’re not using any Javascript optmizers(
   WP plugins) that might interfere with our tracker. Again, switching to Server
   Mode should take care of this issue for the most part.
 * One quick note about our competitors, since you bring them into the conversation:
   please consider all the other features available in Slimstat that are currently
   not implemented in WP Statistics: a realtime access log with a granular filter
   bar that allows you to drill down your metrics in a quite flexible way; customizable
   reports and widgets available on the front-facing site; a plethora of premium
   add-ons to further extend the plugin’s capabilities; optimized code and memory
   usage (have you noticed how many people complain about WP Statistics’ memory
   usage?); a top-notch support with a 4.8 average rating. Sure, you’re free to
   switch to other tools. And I can only thank you for spending some time writing
   your message. Our users are our best resource!
 * Take care,
    Jason
