I believe the plugin used to ship with Dutch translations, it even says so in the plugin description:

Multiple translations: English, Dutch, German and French

I just installed it and there is only a template (.POT) file in the /i18n/languages/ dir of the plugin available. Is this by mistake or should I start translating the 237 strings myself? 🙄

    Hello @neejoh

WordPress gets the translation for here https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/mollie-payments-for-woocommerce/ But if you cant find a sting I would recommend using the plugin Loco Translate.

We are trying our best to keep the languages up-to-date and in the future, they should be all 100% translated

    Hi @aweissinpsyde

That’s new for me. Should I export the language there as .po and .mo, then manually rename them to mollie-payments-for-woocommerce-nl_NL.<mo|po> and place them in /wp-content/languages?
If I place them in the plugin /i18n/languages/ directory that will be overwritten with each plugin update…

Or is there some automated process I’m missing?

    Hello @neejoh

can you please try it. Normally it should work. Currently, we are working on a solution to add language files directly. Currently other languages will be loaded from WordPress.

It could be sometimes there might be a connection issue and languages can’t be loaded correctly

Same problem here. Mollie is quite essential, and we think it unbelievable there is not even a languages folder in it. Pick up (still) incomplete translations where especially the frontend texts are not complete from a kind of github will not do for a serious company. We have better things to do as running after every translation after a plugin update.
