    Hi,
there is a minor issue with translating the theme: The caption of the “Reply” button that shows below every comment can’t be translated.
    Adding something like
    ‘reply_text’=> __( ‘Reply’, ‘hexa’ ),
to the template-tags.php:110 worked for me

    Thanks for fixing 🙂

Thanks for the report. I wasn’t able to replicate this problem on my test site.

Here are the steps I followed:

    1) Activated Hexa
    2) Downloaded the French (France) .mo file for Hexa from GlotPress: https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/hexa/fr/default
    3) Rename the file fr_FR.mo and add it to hexa/languages
    4) Activate Hexa
    5) Select Français under Settings > General

When I view the front end of the site I see the French “reply” text as expected. For example:

    Blog index: https://cloudup.com/cWTEDs5__Ip
    Single post: https://cloudup.com/cnsCLuxH7MI

I did not have to make any modifications in template-tags.php.

Could you list the exact steps you took to try to have the site display a translation?

Could you upload a screenshot of where it’s not being displayed in your language?

Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF – in your Media Library, and provide a link so I can see it, or upload it with a service like Imgur or Snaggy.

Could you provide a link to your site? What version of Hexa are you using?

    Hello Kathryn,

Thanks for your reply, you are right, it doesn’t reproduce in German either.
I was referring to the small “REPLY” button that only shows up just below existing comments, but its translation seems to be handled by the WP Core. (The Problem then arised because I was experimenting with Luxembourgish, for which there is no translation of Core yet.. and I didn’t realise that this was the problem)
So there is no problem with any version of the theme 🙂
    Thanks for helping 🙂

Thanks for confirming that this was a core, not a theme issue – appreciate it. 🙂
