• Hi, I don’t really know how to describe the problem. I’m using the newspaper theme from tagdiv and I’m writting all my blog posts with the Gutenberg Editor. Now I have found out, that none of my images that I have inserted via Gutenberg Editor/Media have a placeholder / thumbnail when they are loaded in the browser. So it comes to a layout shift for every used image. The images have fullsize for desktop 696×464 px and 330×220 px for mobile. But there are no thumbnails with that size in the media.

Is this a problem of the theme or wordpress itself? When I switch the theme the problem seems to disappear. What should I do?

I see you’re using statically.io for a CDN, I could contact them about this.

You can check to see if it’s an issue with the CDN by turning it off and upload a new image and see if it gets sized properly. If it does, then WP is fine and statically needs to help.

@topher1kenobe Thank you very much for your advice. I think you could bei right. I have also made a test Setup where I have already deactivated the Lazy Loading for Images and Here there is no Problem with Missing placeholders. I will Turn Off the cdn for the live Website too! Maybe IT helps!

    Thank You!
