Wordfence’s Diagnostics Tools says I am missing some tables. I’ve checked another site I operate and it has the same message, so is this a potential false positive? Everything is working fine.

  • Hi @eatonz,
Sorry for the late reply. If everything is working fine, I would assume you actually do have the tables. We recently changed it so that all tables are supposed to have only lowercase letters. It could possibly be something related to that? We haven’t seen other reports of this as far as I know, and it’s not something we’ve seen in testing. If you are on a Windows server, or if you are migrating the site back and forth from Windows, that could possibly be it.

@wfasa Yes, I am on Windows. I also have lower_case_table_names set to 1 in the MySQL 8.0 ini. Maybe you should check this on a Windows install to see if you get it too.

    Hi @eatonz,
I went digging a bit and did find one more report like this now! We already have a case filed for it (Internal reference number FB7604). Unfortunately Wordfence isn’t officially supported on Windows and since nothing is actually breaking, it may be a while before this makes it up our priority list. However, I appreciate you reporting it!

    Hi @eatonz,

I’m glad to report that this issue has been resolved and you can expect to see it fixed in future releases!
