# Missing Table “_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta”

 * Hi Wpforms Team,
 * We’ve been using the Wp Mail Smtp plugin for months without any problem but today
   the Site Health status of WordPress reveals a missing table: wp_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta.(
   However WpMailSmtp seams working fine)
 * I tried to re-install by deleting the plugin, disabling all others plugins, purging
   all caches, restarting all services, re-installing Wp MailSmtp… but the wp_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta
   table is still missing!
 * Php 8 was updated a week ago, could this be the cause?
    Can we create the table
   manually?

 * Did you by any chance migrate to a new web hosting recently? Or are you maybe
   using any DB table optimization plugins, that might remove this DB table by accident?
 * To recreate this DB table: `wp_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta`, please visit your admin
   dashboard and then edit the URL to: `/wp-admin/options.php`, so the URL looks
   like this: `http://your-site-goes-here.com/wp-admin/options.php`. On this page,
   please search for `wp_mail_smtp_migration_version`, this row should have the 
   value `3`. Please edit this value from `3` to `1` and Save Changes. Then go to
   the WP Mail SMTP page and refresh the page. Once that is done, please visit the
   WP Site Health and check if the table is still missing.

   be created on your site.

 * Done and it works perfectly now!!
    For context, I haven’t migrated recently but
   I use wp-optimize to clean up the db.

 * I’m glad you were able to resolve the issue 🙂
 * So it might be that wp-optimize removed that DB table? Please be careful in the
   future and never removed DB tables that have `_wpmailsmtp_` in the name.
