Missing Stats
-
Jetpack has stopped updating the list of subscribers. I know that more people have subscribed to my site than I see in the stats. I am self-hosting my WordPress site but my Jetpack is connected to WordPress.com. Can you tell me how to get the full list of subscribers? My site is http://ericyoffie.com
Thank you.

You can find a list of your subscribers here:
https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog=38461203&blog_subscribers&type=email&unit=1It’s worth noting that the new subscribers won’t appear on that list until they validate their subscription, by clicking on the confirmation link in the email they received after signing up. If some of your readers have subscribed but don’t appear on your subscriber list yet, please ask them to check their mailboxes for that confirmation email.
The problem is that some people have subscribed and JetPack did not record them. I can put an email address (e.g., amyjyoffie@aol.com) and it seems to take it, but it does not add to my list of subscribers. Could there be a second list of newer subscriber? Thank you.
Could you ask this person to sign up again? We have no existing subscriptions for this email address.
I have tried to subscribe to your blog using my own email address, and it seemed to work properly. Once I confirmed the subscription, I was added to your list of followers.
It may look as though you signed up but I still have only 45 subscribers. In other words, you are not showing up on the list. (I tried it with my own email address and found the same thing. Is there any way to recover the email addresses of the subscribers that never got added to the list? Thank you.
I actually cancelled my subscription after my test. I subscribed again, so you can see the result. You now have 46 subscribers.
Could you try adding your own email address again?
I did try it again and there are still only 46 subscribers. My son-in-law also signed up (second try) and he is not showing up on the list. Is there a glitch? Do you have any way of recovering missing subscribers? Thank you.
Could you walk me through the steps you follow to subscribe to your blog?
Do you receive confirmation emails when entering and submitting your email address in the subscription form, like so:
http://i.wpne.ws/LZ0hFollowing the submission, do you see the message appearing int he Follow widget, as shown on this screenshot?
http://i.wpne.ws/LZo1I enter my email address at the screen you showed at:
http://i.wpne.ws/LZ0hI do not get the message appearing for the Follow widget you showed at:
http://i.wpne.ws/LZo1Thank you.
Amy
Thanks for the additional info!
Could you try to subscribe from a different browser, to make sure the problem is not linked to your browser?
Could you also check your mailbox? I entered your email address in the subscription form, and you should have received an email inviting you to confirm your subscription.
I did get the confirmation invitation on amyjyoffie@aol.com, which I believe is the one you put in.
I tried a different email address in Internet Explorer and received the email inviting me to confirm my subscription. When I confirmed, it showed up on the subscribers list. The same was true with Firefox.
It does not work with Chrome. What can be done to make it work with Chrome?
I very much appreciate your rapid responses to me.
Could you please try clearing out your cache and cookies in Chrome, and see if that helps?
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95582Yay! That worked!
I think that a problem may have arisen because at one point my site got disconnected from WordPress.com and then I reconnected it. Can this be a problem?
I am still wondering if there are any people who subscribed but did not get the email. Is there any way to find out?
Thank you.
Unfortunately there is no way to find out. If they experienced issues with their cookies like you did, they never actually subscribed and Jetpack did not register their email address.
However, since the issue was specific to your browser on your computer, the chances that others experienced similar issues in the past few days are slim.
Maybe you could invite people to subscribe in your latest post?
OK. Many thanks to you for resolving this problem!
