 * Hi,
    there is the space missing between the catlist id=? and date=yes. It looks
   like: “Topic12. December 2013” instead of “Topic 12. December 2013” Until 0.39
   everything was ok, I changed nothing on my syntax.
 * 0.40 Shows the missing space as well 0.40.1

 * Yep, I saw it. I’ll release a new bugfix release soon and I’ll include a fix 
   for this. In the meantime – if you’re feeling brave – you can change the code
   with the plugin editor on your WordPress. On the file `include/CatListDisplayer.
   php` line 285, add this:
    `$info = " " . $this->catlist->get_date_to_show($single);`

    same issue for me
 * there is no more space between the title and the excerpt
 * the code is :
    `[catlist content=no excerpt=yes numberposts=9 orderby=date]`

 * I reverted to version 0.39, in this version the space shows up.
    Affected are
   0.40 and 0.40.1.
