Yes will give franks git a whirl tonight. Many thanks for that.
An excel dump should be straight forward, not sure what info you’d want though. Can you give an example of columns etc?

id envision:
site name, site id, plugins activated on that site, themes activated on the site
that’s about all i could come up with off the top of my head, just an idea – but would be nice to play around with this data outside of wordpress. we usually push audits off to utility people/interns here so that we can get stuff cleaned up. we usually use the spreadsheets for markup (done, broken, remove) so that it can be passed off to someone else to keep place in the list of sites.
just a thought 🙂
@bmsinc: the plugin have a cache via transient, default wp store inside the database. The cache was reset if a plugin was activated, deactivated, but not on update of a plugin.
I will also check this reset, that it works.
Hi Frank,
Just tried out your new plugin from github.I’m sorry to say that it does the same thing with our network i.e. fails to load the themes or plugins page.
Don’t worry though – we have an abnormally large (I’m slowly realising) number of sites here.
Alex
Hi have change the source on github bevor 2h. Now it will also refresh the date, if it was change a plugin/theme on a single site.
On default, I get 9999 sites in the network. Maybe you have more sites?
If yes: see this new hook: https://github.com/bueltge/wordpress-multisite-enhancements/wiki/Large-Network-Problem
