Support » Fixing WordPress » Unable to select parent for custom post type

  • Hi everyone,

    I’ve recently created a custom post type in which I want to be able to make it a child of another page. These are the arguments I’m passing along when I create my post type:

    $args = array(
    	'labels' => $labels,
    	'public' => true,
    	'publicly_queryable' => true,
    	'show_ui' => true,
    	'show_in_menu' => true,
    	'query_var' => true,
    	'rewrite' => array("slug" => "seminarier"),
    	'capability_type' => 'post',
    	'has_archive' => true,
    	'hierarchical' => true,
    	'menu_position' => 5,
    	'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'page-attributes')

    With this configuration I can see the attributes panel but no “Select parent” dropdown.

    Maybe I’ve just misunderstood the whole concept of hierarchical custom post types but shouldn’t I be able to select a parent for my custom post type somewhere?

    If you need more information than I’ve provided just let me know and I’ll try to give you what you need.
