Never had this issue before. Go Daddy is checking that the cron is being accessed properly. Any other ideas why this would be happening all of a sudden? And I mean literally all of a sudden – never had this error before, and traffic certainly isnt an issue on this website. Possibly should we try to schedule them at a different time of day? Are there any troubleshooting steps we should try – I have enabled error log, there are no errors on the site. Everything is up-to-date, themes, plugins etc.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

OK – I will try all of this (Its tough though because the site is live and gets a lot of traffic) so I will work on the ones that are not theme or plugin-related first. Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully something works!
