 * Most people nowadays use mobile phones and the lack of features related to the
   responsiveness of the tables is unfortunate.

 * Hi [@bringerllc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bringerllc/),
 * thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
 * The free version of TablePress offers horizontal scrolling for making tables
   responsive. You can turn that on by activating the corresponding checkbox in
   the “Table Features for Site Visitors” section on a table’s “Edit” screen.
 * Even more modes for responsiveness, like stacking, flipping, or collapsing are
   available in the TablePress Premium versions. For examples, please see [https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/](https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/)
 * Maybe that would be an option for you?
 * Best wishes,
   Tobias

 * You can not turn on that feature in site visitors if you have any merged cells.
   So that is a no go. Shame on you for not having mobile responsiveness built in.

 * Hi [@eventermom](https://wordpress.org/support/users/eventermom/),
 * I only saw your reply in this thread now (I had only seen the one that you opened),
   and I’ll be happy to answer here as well, of course!
 * That is (unfortunately) correct. While I would love to support these features
   for tables with merged cells, the frontend table features require a table without
   merged cells, as those are not compatible with the JavaScript code, for technical
   reasons. You would therefore indeed not be able to use the Horizontal Scrolling
   feature with that table.
 * The [Responsive Tables feature module](https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/)
   does however contain a different implementation of horizontal scrolling, which
   also works with tables that do have merged cells, as that does not rely on JavaScript
   code.
 * I hope this helps!
 * Best wishes,
   Tobias
