# Missing Post, Disappearing Post

 * Hello,
 * I was wondering if anyone could help me (I don’t have a lot of technical knowledge).
   I run a blog [http://www.carbonneutraltourism.co.uk](http://www.carbonneutraltourism.co.uk)
   when I write a post and click publish the post appears on the blog and then a
   couple of hours later it disappears. I am not too sure what to do to solve the
   problem (this has only started to happen over the last week).

 * Maybe you were hacked? BTW, you are using an ancient WP version that is unsafe.

 * Many thanks for getting back to me. I will upgrade to the latest version. I was
   wondering how can I tell if I’ve been ‘hacked’?

 * Well, that’s a long and tedious task. You can search for “hacked” and you’ll 
   find lots of posts.
 * Just upgrading might not be enough.
    You will have to examine the files and directories,
   the database etc.
