I’m not sure what happened, but all of the sudden my calendar is not displaying any of my private events (even when I’m logged in as admin) though SOME (not all, it looks like some got deleted) are showing in the database. Also, I have one pending event, but I have no “pending” events link in the dashboard.

I’ve tried disabling all the plugins to make sure it’s not an issue. I’m running WP Calendar 0.8.3 and Events Manager 5.5.1. I tried both downgrading Events Manager and reinstalling, just to make sure it wasn’t a corrupt file or something, but I’m still having the problem.

    Any suggestions?

Is this happens even when you create new private or pending events and right after you upgrade to EM 5.5.1?

do you see these events in your admin area? does the single event page work ok for these?

did this happen whilst upgrading WP or themes/plugins?

I see some of the missing events in the admin area, but some have disappeared. However, all of the missing events are present when I look at the MySQL database.

I noticed the problem last night, and I hadn’t updated any plugins or themes since a few days before. I’m not sure if there was an issue that I’d just missed resulting from an updated plugin, or if something else caused it. Like I said, I tried disabling all other plugins, reinstalling the events-calendar plugin, and downgrading, with no luck.

Is this happens even when you create new private or pending events ? Or how about choosing All instead of Future filter in Events > Events ?

It was happening with a bunch of my old/existing events.

In my efforts to get this working, I tried reinstalling 5.5.1 via FTP. That seemed to mess it up again so that no events showed on my main calendar. But once I re-imported a backup of my MySQL database, it seemed to be better. There are a few sets of single events that are not appearing on the front-end or events dashboard but that are still visible in the database.

For example, I have two events called “Congregational Meeting.” One takes place in Sept and the other in Nov. Only the one in Nov. is appearing in dashboard and on the calendar. However, when I look at the MySQL though, both are present. All values except the event_id, post_id, event_slug, event_start_date, event_end_date, post_content, event_date_created, and event_date_modified are the same. When I look in the admin area and search for “Congregational Meeting”, this shows up: http://www.icrossroads.org/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/1.png

I also have some recurring events doing the same thing. They appear in the DB but not anywhere else.

while in the database, can you try to compare the events that is correctly displayed vs. the missing events (eg. can you check the event status) ?

    thanks for the patience

it looks to me like you may have crossed some wires whilst importing databases yourself.

from the looks of it, one of your events (from the screenshot I’d say November would be missing) doesn’t have a wp_posts table record associated with it, maybe you deleted it whilst restoring tables? or maybe you deleted it some other unusual way e.g. via another plugin?
