missing optipng, gifsicle

Hello,
I am getting this notification:
EWWW Image Optimizer uses jpegtran, optipng, pngout, pngquant, gifsicle, and cwebp. You are missing: optipng, gifsicle. Please install via the Settings Page or the Installation Instructions.
I went to the settings page and don’t see a place to address this issue?

I am not a professional web designer. . . But I know that my server is shared. I don’t understand what shell/command-line access is.
Than you probably don’t have it (and it would be a bit of a learning curve to teach you how to use it anyway). So the next thing to do is ask your webhost what version of linux they are running on your server, since the binaries seems to be incompatible with it. And while we’re are it, who IS your webhost?
My server is iPower. . . I just talked to them; it is a shared server with Linux 2.6.
Ah, I should have asked that to start with. iPower is known not working because they run old (possibly unsupported) versions of things. I wonder if you can get them to tell you what specific version (there are hundreds of releases on the 2.6 branch, and EWWW runs on anything back to around 2.6.18).

I just talked to iPower again and got a different answer as far as the Linux version run on my server (this rep went right into the server and looked to be sure). It is Linux 12.04.4I assume that is Ubuntu Linux? I don’t know of any other distribution that uses a versioning scheme like that, and it makes me wonder if they just have something blocked then. 12.04 should most definitely be compatible with the binaries as I’ve just tested it on my mail server running 12.04.5. It was throwing ‘permission denied’ errors, but that could mean any number of things besides an actual permissions error.
See if you can get their support reps to try running the optipng or gifsicle binaries/executables directly on the server.
I just talked to them again… they can’t run those 2 things directly on the server because I am on a shared server. He ran scripts trying to get it working, no luck. He went on your plugin site and found near the bottom of a page that it says iPower doesn’t work well with the plugin. So I guess I can’t use it? Is it doing anything for me if it can’t do the optipng or gifsicle?
If you don’t upload much for PNG & GIF, then you can just disable those and use the plugin for JPGs. Otherwise, you can use the EWWW IO Cloud API: https://ewww.io/plans/
