most menus are JS and Google strips out JS for AMP as that makes the page load time much faster.
AMP takes things down to bare bones so this plugin helps ‘pretty’ it up again.

As gooma2 mentioned, the navigation likely won’t work exactly the same as it does in your current site, but we’re working on a solution that we think should cover most use-cases.
