Missing Icons and buttons in WP and very slow admin

    Hi,

    I was trying to install Total Cache but it did’t fully install then delete it and that’s when things went horribly wrong (I believe Total Cache didn’t install cause of Itheme Security, but didn’t know that till I try to install couple other Cache plugins)

    The WP admin side is extremely slow with missing icons and buttons. I believe deleting Total Cache resulted in deleting other stuff.

    Not sure on what to do. I just went to phpMyAdmin and extracted the database. Any suggestions on what to do next?

    You can check your /wp-content/plugins/ with ftp if there are still some cache plugin or something what you deleted. If it somehow does not show in plugins from admin.
    You can also check .htaccess file and config.php if some plugin did some changes there …

    If you mean that you’re using an older version of WP, that’s really not such a good solution as it’s a security risk.

    Or did you mean something else?

    I used the R1SoftRestoreBackups tool from Cpanel

    So are you now fully up to date on WP, themes and plugins? That’s where you want to be :)!
