The sympotoms are that I’m unable to save anything to the site via user input… either as an Anonymous User or Administrator. * Several people have helpfully suggested that I check my File Permissions, which I have done. It now appears that I am missing .htaccess. (I have checked the Show Hidden Files box on FileZilla, so I should be seeing that). * My questions: * 1. Why might this be missing? (I’ve installed WordPress twice, and evidently had the same problem each time). * 2. Can I generate .htaccess? If so, how? * (I can’t find any info on this in Codex or via search). * Thanks in advance for your help! Do you see the first “Hello World” post ? I’ve asked the OP to find out if his hosts have any working WP installs.
