-Try adding this to the wp-config.php file above the “stop editing” line so it looks like this:
define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
Save that, clear your browser cache and cookies (do not skip this step, it will not work if you don’t clear that out on your browser), re-login and try again. Also, make sure that your browser has JavaScript enabled.

Thank you for this – but unfortunately it didn’t help…
Any other suggestions?
Navigate to http://example.com/wp-admin/options.php and set link_manager_enabled
to 1
Couldn’t find any such line…
Thank you very much, esmi – with some help I found the correct line and everything is working just fine!
I appreciate the help!
Buon weekend
I’m having the same issue, and still stuck. I installed a new version (3.5) of wordpress, and there is no links menu in the admin panel sidebar, and no link widgets either.
I looked, and there is no “link_manager_enabled” in the options.php file I have :/
Any other solutions?
@sonya – this thread is already marked resolved, so you need to start your own thread. Please also see this thread which addresses your question about the links manager: in the second post under “CORE CHANGES”
