Support » Plugin: Forminator - Contact Form, Payment Form & Custom Form Builder » Missing Form Data On Version 1.15.2

I have a catering form (linked) with some hidden fields. Customers select a “Pizza Type,” “How Many” of that pizza, and “What Kind” (flavor) they want. If they would like a variety, they say “Yes” to “Would you like to add more pizzas?” That reveals another set of fields where they can choose the next “Type,” “[Number],” and “Kind” of pizza. They are able to choose up to 10 sets.

After the recent update to 1.15.2, the form appears to work normally until it is submitted. On submission, the email that is generated, the copy that is sent to a Google Sheet, and the copy logged in the database are all missing information past the first set of pizzas.

What could be causing this and what is the recommended fix? Rolling back to 1.15.0.1 has fixed my issue for now, but I would like to use the latest version or see a fix rolled out that addresses this.

    Hi @zackmathis,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the latest release.
Can you provide us with your form export so we can test it out further on our end?
You can go to Forminator > Forms panel, click on Gear icon next to your form and get the export file from there.
Upload it to any file sharing service like GDrive or Dropbox and share the download link here.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hi @zackmathis

    Thank you for the form,

It seems something went wrong in the update, and I am going to report it to our developers.

Can you please edit your form in the most recent version, click to edit the visibility you will find it show as “yes” but the rule is not actually selected:

After adding back the “Yes” option, save the fields and check if the issue is gone.

Let us know the result you got.

Thanks! That fixed it. It looks like the old form had a lowercase “yes” throughout while the new one needed an uppercase “Yes” to work properly. I ended up exporting the old form, find/replacing yes->Yes, and uploading a new form.

Would it be possible in the future to allow code imports at the form level and/or edit the form in the text view that the export generates? I realize typos, etc. could quickly break forms and that an editing interface limited to clicks helps reduce that type of error, but for situations like this and not having to go through the process of rebuilding forms and relinking/transferring data to new Google Sheets (or other integrations), some users may find it useful.

I appreciate the help, Patrick and Predrag!

    Hi @zackmathis

    Thank you for the update.

We are happy to hear it worked now.

This should be actually improved in the plugin to prevent happening on the updates.

I sent your form to our developers and reported it to the plugin team so I hope we can improve even more the form updates.

Would it be possible in the future to allow code imports at the form level and/or edit the form in the text view that the export generates?

This is always a hard task, editing the form directly in the code could end having more problems than fixing it, but I passed the suggestion to the plugin team.

    Best Regards
