• Hi All,

I’ve had my blog going for 7 years +.

I’ve noticed that I missing a few features and I’m wondering if it’s from always doing upgrades.

I’m missing things like the visual editor. I only have the text editor. I noticed when I did a test installation there’s a new writing feature that to block out all distractions etc. There must be more also.

What’s the best route to take, do a fresh installation? Or try something else?

    Thanks

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
