This is a great plugin, but from my point of view something is missing.
    I’ll try to explain myself.

I have 1 product that use a black backpack as a base with two variants.
One is customized with text “GOOD” and the other with the text “BAD”.

in the attribute stock I created the attribute “backpack color” with “black” as a term and stock of 10.

Now, in this example I already have in inventory 2 backpacks with the text “GOOD” and zero with text “BAD” and of course the 10 black backpacks without any text.

I manage the stock at variant level inserting 2 for “GOOD” and 0 for “BAD”.

What I expect is that the stock decrease first at variation level (the backpacks already customized) and than, when this stock reach 0, from the stock at attribute level (the backpacks to be customized).

If I sell 1 backpack with “GOOD” text, the actual behavior is to drop 1 from the variant stock and also 1 from the attribute stock.

There is a way to do this or do you need to change the code?

    Hi @amelion80,

This type of functionality is probably a bit too bespoke for us to add as a general feature.

The logistics of it are also quite tricky. For example, on the product page do you show “2 in stock” or “12 in stock” for “GOOD”?

Surely you would want to show 12 in stock, since this is how many are actually available. But what if you also want to add a custom zipper pull on the bag and manage its stock with an additional attribute stock item. In this case your bag stock would need to be added to the variation stock quantity, but the zipper pull stock would still need to be handled and reduced separately.

In any case, the functionality you’re looking for should be possible with some custom code. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, we can assist. However we only offer this service via our premium support channel with a purchase of the full version.

I’m quite sure to buy the full version because this plugin is what I’m looking for without using overcomplicated inventory stock systems.
Currently I’m searching/testing all the needed plugin to cover the UR list that I already done.
At the end of this phase I’ll finalize all the plugins purchases and probably ask to you for this minor change.

No problem at all. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
