[Resolved] Missing dropdown menu in primary nav in thematic child theme

  • I am working on http://test.seawingdesigns.com and am creating a child theme on the Thematic frame work. This is the second Thematic child that I have worked on. I am experiencing a problem with the primary navigation not showing the dropdown menu. The sub-menu shows up when viewing the source of the page, but when I look it up with firebug it shows the ul has display:none and visibility:hidden. I added a style for ul.sub-menu to set display:list-item and visibility:visible but that did not change the issue.

I can’t find where that style is set that is making the sub-menu invisible. can someone please give me a hand? I am sure it is something simple, It is just hiding from me somewhere.

  • It is definitely somewhere in the child theme as it is fixed if I switch to the Thematic theme. I tried to use the thematic default.css rather than the child theme version and that did not fix it.

Found it. I had #access overflow:hidden in the child theme style.css. I changed it to overflow:visible and there it is.

I have the same problem with the dropdown menu. It disappears when i want to click on it…

Where in the stylesheet.css did you placed the code?
and what is a child theme and a thematic theme? (sorry noobie here)

Cause i work in a payed template from wordpress..

    Dunno where to change it..
