Hello TomQv,
And thank you for your interest in our filtering plugin, and for the explicit demonstration of your question!
Please keep track of the browser address bar on your video, and you will notice that filters are filtering a different page, the Woocommerce shop page, (addresses with /shop/ in the link), whereas the native Woocommerce “Product Categories” widget is basically a list of links to the so-called product category archive pages. This is a whole different kind of page, you can tell it by the /product-category/ part of the URL, and these are the pages that have product category description above products.
By default our filters will filter the shop page, but if you are on a product category archive page (for example if you go to https://lasonfa.vn/product-category/amouage/), they WILL support filtering / switching categories, just like the native Woocommerce “Product Categories” widget, and the category descriptions will display on top of the products list. For it to work you will need to set up the filters in the following way:
- Set your preset’s Filtering style to URL filters.
- Assign your product categories filter to single item selection Filter type.
- To avoid possible conflicts with your theme you can also try enabling the Hierarchical archive links option.
And of course you can also always use the native Woocommerce “Product Categories” widget in combination with our filters: the widget will switch the categories, and (depending on the needs of your shop) filters can be used for other product attributes.
