# Missing Data on Index.php

 * Having a problem with new installation using Default theme.
 * wordpress installed to this folder = [http://www.mydomain.com/main](http://www.mydomain.com/main)
   
   blog url = [http://www.mydomain.com](http://www.mydomain.com)
 * index.php at blog url returns the default theme plus shows “categories” in sidebar,
   but when you click on the category name the server returns a server config error(
   no #). There are no posts listed on the page (including the “Hello World” post.
 * The category links for example are searching for:
    [http://www.mydomain.com/category/category_name](http://www.mydomain.com/category/category_name)…
   but only returns an error.
 * I’ve checked MySQL and the posts and cats are listed. I have .htaccess file on
   root.
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * Good thought. Just double checked the permalinks.
    Here’s the structure: /%category%/%
   postname%/%post_id%/ sample: [http://www.mondo247.com/dvd/pull-the-plug-on-dvd/5/](http://www.mondo247.com/dvd/pull-the-plug-on-dvd/5/)
   Not coming up on the server. Hmmm?

 * I confirmed the wp_terms, slug = dvd
    and post_name = pull-the-plug-on-dvd
 * It doesn’t look like an data table issue. It think it’s a server config or path
   issue.
