# Missing Content

 * I’m hoping someone can help me with this please!!!!!!
 * Short version is this…
 * Logged in this morning and noticed that in my admin the Posts & categories were
   missing. Although it had a number showing how many, under posts it stated “no
   posts found”.
 * After spending the day looking for solutions at some point I repaired the database
   tables which brought me to having to re-setup my blog again (not sure if that
   is whats supposed to happen). From what I can tell, the database is in tact, 
   the files exist on my ftp and everything seems ok.
 * EXCEPT for my content. It’s gone from my admin and front end. But I can see the
   files from my ftp, and as I mentioned, the database it in tact. I do have a backup
   of the sql database but not sure what to do with it.
 * Can anyone shed some light on this please!!!!!

 * The files don’t matter here, your content is in the database. Have you opened
   the sql file to see if your posts are in there?

 * I checked the actual sql and the posts seem to be missing. Now I have a backup
   up of the old database. Is there still away to get the old data back?
