# Missing Cart

 * We just downsized and replaced WooCommerce with a single button using this plugin.
   It is all set up with Stripe and I have seen it work but now it has developed
   a glitch where it says the item has been added to the cart but there is no button
   to go to checkout and the cart doesn’t appear. This is on the live public page
   so we’d really like to get it sorted out soon!

 * What shortcodes are you currently using? Make sure you also have the following
   shortcode added to the page in question.
 *     ```wp-block-code
       [show_wp_shopping_cart]
       ```
   
 * Or
 *     ```wp-block-code
       [always_show_wp_shopping_cart]
       ```

 * This disappearing act is intermittent. Sometimes the whole process works and 
   is visible on this same page. And the rest of the time it doesn’t…

   of the time but if it’s the only way I will try the “always” shortcode.

 * Thank you for providing some more information. Do you have a cache plugin running
   in your site? Or does your host run any type of caching system in your server?

 * The host does not have a caching system. The cache has been cleared and the two
   plugins related to caching have been deactivated. This made no difference. At
   this point the problem is no longer intermittent. I get a green message stating
   that the item has been added to the cart but haven’t seen the checkout button
   or cart in quite awhile. I looked at the logs and they document the successful
   tests of sandbox cards but nothing since then. I don’t have any idea what changed
   to trigger this.

 * I just switched it to the shortcode with “always show” and the button and cart
   now both show. While this now makes it usable it’s not the solution we want. 
   If you can help it to get back to working properly it would be much appreciated.

 * Thank you for providing more information. Unfortunately I am not sure how you
   have set up the shopping cart. I have carried out a test in my dev site and it
   works for me. Please check the following documentation. Let me know which method
   you used.

 * Stripe has been enabled and tested using the Sandbox. PayPal is disabled.
 * Having the cart always there isn’t as intrusive as we had thought it would be
   so if there is no easy solution it can stay.
