Support » Plugin: AceIDE » Missing basic feature of an editor

  • An editor needs to have a “Save as” function in order to be able to save files under new names as you fix bugs, develop code, etc.

Also a Save as function typically allows you to choose a location to save the file to. This is important if you are backing up files from a particular location.

This plugin does not allow you to do that.
In my view this is a big drawback. Hence the rating.

The plugin is only useful then to make emergency edits to an existing file, in case there is a fatal error in the code.

Also documentation about the plugin seems lacking.

Update – Changing to 3 stars from 2 based on the developers willingness to add a Save as function in future. Will increase rating when this becomes available….
