Missing argument warning displayed on screen

    I got warnings like this on the site:
    Warning: Missing argument 3 for WPSS_Utils::preg_match(), called in /myurl/wp-content/plugins/wp-spamshield/includes/class.utils.php on line 635 and defined in /myurl/wp-content/plugins/wp-spamshield/includes/class.utils.php on line 133

    These warnings are displayed on the login screen and on the site itself. So not in the back-end after logging in.

    Using Spamshield version 1.9.8.8
