• After moving my site from wordpress.com to a privately hosted solution my site has lost the ability to add new plugins and themes while losing access to the appearance>editor. I can activate any theme or plugin but cannot download new. I’m logged in as an administrator. I’ve tried the following … all with no luck.

    1. deactivating/activating plugins
    2. switching themes to default wp2011
    3. clearing browser cache/switching browsers
    4. creating new admin user
    5. resetting db_version
    6. Used the force-upgrade.php script

When I try to go directly to “/wp-admin/plugin-install.php” I get a “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” message.

I’m believing this has something to do with wp not seeing the administrator roles as NOT fully administrator even though I’m able to login, see the admin bar, edit posts, save site settings, create users etc.

Is there something with the wp_user_roles option (or similar) in the wp_options table?

By the way, otherwise to the visiting user, the site is working fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
