Support » Installing WordPress » missing a temporary folder

    I bet this is boring some people, but I have to put this in.

    I have installed wordpress 3.5.1 on IIS. I was getting a “missing a temporary folder”

    my solution, edit the php.ini with:

    upload_tmp_dir =”c:/php/tmp”

    obviously if your php installation is elsewhere you willhave to change the path.

  • I don’t even have a php.ini folder, and this problem came up when I installed wordpress 3.5.1. I’m no expert, and this is unbelievably annoying to me.
    Is there any other solution?

    Contact your hosts. And next time, please post a new topic.

    upload_tmp_dir =”c:/php/tmp”

    This worked for me after getting the same error message. Edited my php.ini so it now looks like this:

    wincache.ocenabled = “On”

    upload_tmp_dir =”c:/php/tmp”

    That worked over simply using “upload_tmp_dir=/tmp/”

    Thanks srandall6
