Support » Fixing WordPress » Missed schedule problems in 3.0.4

    I’ve upgraded to the newest version of WordPress and am encountering that ‘missed schedule’ problem that seems to have plagued earlier versions of WP. This has been going on for a few days even though I haven’t made any changes to my blog, and I’ve looked at the answers from earlier WP versions and nothing has worked.

    I’ve tried installing two separate plugins that are supposed to alleviate this issue and neither have worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The same problem. But I didn’t install any plugins to fix this. What plugins you’ve tryed?
    Also I know problem can be caused by your hosting server settings. Did you contact support team?

    I’ve installed both “WP Missed Schedule” and “Missed Scheduled.” Neither seem to work.

    Strangely, it solves the problem with more recent posts (I wrote one this morning and scheduled it for an hour later and that worked fine) but the problem still exists with the posts I already had scheduled.

    I have the same problem. I’ve tried both plugins too. Yesterday when testing the “Missed Schedule” plugin worked but this morning my post didn’t appear.

    I’ve tried to deactivate all plugins, without result. I read yesterday that maybe the problem occurs due to plugins or themes which are not fit for WordPress 3.0.4.

    I am going to try to contact the author of the theme now.

    Seems like problem in WordPress.
    The only solution was to add next code at the beginning of functions.php of current theme.

    global $wpdb;
    $wpdb->query("UPDATE $wpdb->posts SET post_status = 'publish' WHERE post_status = 'future' AND post_date < NOW()");

    @olegdudkin: i was add that code but not worked, i use theme Arjuna

    Hi all-

    Have been having similar problems (but including scheduled posts publishing early) and have narrowed the problem down to conflicting date/time settings in wordpress vs. “server time.”

    If you get inconsistent behavior, it could be because of the inconsistencies introduced between your location relative to UTC, and AM/PS scheduling times. I haven’t solved this for us yet, but your best bet may be to contact your host and make sure that *all* timezone references at all levels of your server are correct. For example, apparently PHP5 has a new timezone setting, found in php.ini, which wordpress may use for some calculations. Hope this helps in your investigation.
