    Missed publishing schedules are typically caused due to a site with very few visitors and so WordPress’s pseudo cron job isn’t triggered. There are workarounds and my suggestion would be to use a real cron job to ping your wp-cron.php rather than relying on the WordPress pseudo cron if your site has very little traffic.
