    Hello,

    I am not the most advanced WordPress user so thank you for your patience to begin with.

    The mobile version of my website does not play the video in the banner as the desktop version does. Instead it defaults to a static photo that I have picked. I understand why the mobile version will not play the video so this is okay. I would like to create a play button icon to overlay the image in maybe say the bottom right corner, on the mobile version that links to the video in a light-box. I have gotten very close with many attempts but unfortunately I am still unsuccessful. Does anyone have some tips for this?

    Also, less important, the video on my desktop site shows black bars on the side, depending on the screen size I am viewing the page on. I understand this has to do with the aspect ratio and size of the video. Ideally, I would like to align the video to the left (currently its in the center) and have a color gradient overlay that becomes solid on the right side with my text overlaid on top. This will eliminate the ugly black bars and even create a more pleasant background for the text to appear on. Im assuming this can be done using just css. Any information on this would also be greatly appreciated.

    This is a bit outside the scope of the support. This forum is generally for basic questions like CSS tweaks and how-to’s and bug reports.

    I would advise you to post this question over in the general WordPress.org support forums, where someone can point you in the right direction since there are a number of steps that you need to take to make this possible.
