    Hi there,

Kudos on the WooCommerce payments update – generally speaking, it is much better.

There are one major change relating to a validation which are having a major impact on my business:
There is a new validation (initiated by the Stripe backend) stipulating the the cost of a product must be greater then 50c: “Error: Amount must be at least $0.50 aud”. This also inhibits the WooCommerce payment form from loading… the error is: “An error was encountered when preparing the payment form. Please try again later”.

For businesses like mine that make margin based on delivery fees, this error is really frustrating. I’m concerned that my customers will see the error about the minimum spend, or primarily in the payment form (suggesting they may be unable to pay)… leading them to ultimately take their business elsewhere.

Can you please remove this form error, and apply the minimum spend validation only once the address details (and delivery fee) have been added, ASAP?

It only makes sense that this payments platform aligns to the WooCommerce core functionality… which is that delivery fees aren’t added until the address details have been inputted.

    Hi @pechapp ,

As I understand, the WooCommerce Payments payment form on your site isn’t loading for products priced under $0.50 AUD.

I checked this on my end with a product priced at $0.2 and the payment form loaded as expected: https://d.pr/i/mqW2XW

Could you please share the URL of the product page so we can check the same on your site?

    Hi @wpnomad

    Thanks for your response.

Firstly, I must address that typo in my original post. It should have said: “There is* one major change relating to a validation which is* having a major impact on my business:”

Yes, this is because you have already inputted the address, and therefore the shipping fee has been added.

Please remove your cache, or go incognito (so the address isn’t auto-populated) and try again without inputting an address at cart or checkout.

Hope you are both keeping well!

Has any progress been made on this bug?

As per GitHub, it seems to be on the back burner.

Happy to help in any way possible – I can only recommence my operations once this has been fixed.
