 * Is it neccessary to set the minimum PHP requirement to 8.2?

 * It’s not strictly required for the plugin to run on PHP 8.2. However, since that’s
   the minimum version recommended by the latest WordPress releases, we suggest 
   using it if possible.
 * I assume you’re running an older PHP version—go ahead and test the plugin on 
   your setup, and please let me know if you run into any issues.

 * Same issue here – unable to update due to PHP version. (I’ve never seen this 
   with any plugin before).
