We have a $60 minimum setup. We also have a coupon code out there that offers our customers a certain percentage off. We had a customer use this coupon code with exactly $60 in their cart. This brought the cart total down below $60, and the customer was unable to checkout. Is there anyway to exclude the coupon discount from the cart total, and still allow the customer to checkout? In that situation, overlook the cart minimum…

Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi,
Thanks for your query. It is possible to exclude the coupon from the Minimum Purchase rule in Minimum Purchase Pro. You’d need to use a Minimum Purchase Pro filter and write a small function to exclude processing for the coupon when presented.

Unfortunately, I’m not so tech savvy. Writing functions is not exactly something I’m able to do. Can you give me an example?

Thanks so much for your help.

    Hi,
There’s some info built right into the code in Min Purchase Pro.

You can find documentation and an example in Min Purchase Pro/core/…apply-rules.php . Just search for the word ‘filter’…

When completed, wordpress filters are generally placed in your theme’s functions.php file, so that they are unaffected by plugin updates.

Unfortuantely, I don’t do custom work, so I’d suggest jobbing this out to a freelancer…

    Best,
    Vark
