Since the last update 5.1.3 I’ve had to turn off Minify css. I’m finding that many page edits are not showing the correct css styling unless I do a Ctrl F5 hard browser refresh.

Has something changed which would cause this behaviour?

    Thanks

    Hey @wellsguide

Would it be possible to provide url to your site please, so I can check the issue?

Sure, here’s the site URL: wellsguide.com

Here’s a page I was having issues with today – https://wellsguide.com/where-to-stay-in-wells-next-the-sea/holiday-cottages/ – whenever I created a new filter section (Refine Your Selection) it was missing all styling until I did a hard refresh, although it all looked fine in the Elementor edit page. Immediately resolved the issue when I disabled Minify css.

Wasn’t having this issue before the latest SGO update.

Thanks for your quick response BTW.

I have checked your site and the issue exists in the latest version of the plugin, because we’ve excluded the elementor styles from css combination. Which means that each file that the plugin create for each page is loaded separately.

By default all elementor page styles have query parameter, which helps to bypass the cache. Since you have remove query strings enabled, these query params are removed from the styles and the browser loads cached versions.

I’ve disabled “Remove Query Strings” functionality and everything works.

We’ll add new exclude functionality for query strings in the next version that will allow you to exclude specific styles/scripts.

Thanks again for the quick response and for isolating the problem.

I’ve just been running some tests and the problem still exists even with Remove Query Strings disabled.

The only setting that works so far for me is to switch off Minify css.

I made some edits to the page I mentioned previously leaving Remove Query Strings disabled. The edits looked fine in the Elementor editor.

On reloading the page client-side in the browser the edits were missing their css styling. This occurs in both staging and live versions. Only a hard refresh (Ctrl f5) in Chrome fixed it. Switching Remove Query Strings on and off and reloading had no effect.

However switching Minify css on and off and reloading caused the styling to appear and disappear again.

    Thanks

Just to let you know I’ve decided to roll back SG Optimiser to the previous version on live and staging sites until the next update.

    Hello!
I have the same problem, only by disabling the minify CSS option the site works correctly.

I’ve the last version of Elementor Pro and SG Optimizer installed.

Where can I find the previous version until you fix the problem?

    Thanks!

Search for “WP Rollback” in WordPress -> Plugins -> Add New.

    @wellsguide Thanks! 😉
