Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up for me. 🙂
mingus has its origination from the name of a jazz player. matt is a jazz fan and plays the sax himself.
sounds like a term of abuse
“sounds like a term of abuse”
Only if you hate jazz. (which is a crime around here, just so you know)
well it sounds a bit like ‘minger’ which for those of you outside the UK is slang for an ugly person, normally directed at the female of the species.
I am from the UK and have no problem with ‘mingus’.
Jacob to be serious. It is well worth the upgrade to WP 1.2 Mingus. With a fair wind it is painless. Back your data up first. As always. Good luck.
ive *accidentally* upgraded myself to 1.3 and it seems fine also, just had to replace some of the $table bits with $wpdb->
well, you can use ‘minger’ in your everyday conversations if you like and think of me as you do 😉
its pronounced Ming (as in the merciless) – Err (as in err – err). So to recap, its Ming-Err – minger
“Look at that minger”
“Shes a bit of a minger”
It can also be chanted “Ming-er! Ming-er! Ming-er!”
there you go my Yankee cousins.
Actually, thinking about it – it did remind me of minger – but being a jazz fan myself I though of the other meaning first.
Somefool: You’re right!
well, when i first saw “Mingus?? What the?” I assumed it was about minger
