I am using the Minamaze theme. It is a beautiful theme, easy to work with and is working out well for this website. I do have one issue. When I upload an image using media – image upload, there are a lot of various size thumbnails being generated. Many are cropped such that I see no way they could possibly be used on the site. Images have from 25 to 80 versions.
I disabled all plugins and uploaded an image and 38 variations were created.
I have gone back to twentyfourteen leaving all plugins enabled and added an image and only 3 are created.
So it looks like the Minamaze theme is responsible.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Can anyone suggest where to look to fix this problem?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • I have the same issue, I had to move the client’s domain to another server, and then realized how many images the theme had created – the blog has about 28 posts, a few have a photo gallery from events in the news section – and we have almost 2GB – yes two gigabytes – worth of images! there are way too many custom post sizes. It is indeed a beautiful, simple and clean theme, but if I can’t regulate the excessive amount of thumbnails the theme creates I may need to use something else.
