# MIME errors / 404

 * Hi there, I have a reoccurring issue with the CSS files being 404 when caching
   is enabled on several sites. It works for several days, and randomly stops working
   with the files getting jumbled and throwing MIME errors in the browser. In the
   WordPress dashboard, the page is looking correct. When trying to access the same
   CSS file, it shows up, but not when logged out. However, when I purposely log
   into WordPress and go to the page where the issue is happening, it suddenly changes
   the 404 to 200 and works again for both the logged in user and the web visitor.

   I tried disabling minification of css, js and html but I still get the same issue.
   Any idea what this could be?

 * I think this might be due to your minified cache, what is your cache lifespan
   and in Minify >>Advanced settings how long are you keeping the stale cache for?

 * Hey there, I have screenshotted the current settings. It says 30. Do I need to
   set to 0?

 * in you screenshot, you have minified disabled but when I check the JS files on
   your site, they are minified.
 * I suspect that both WPO and your theme have both been minifying at the same time,
   can you switch this off on your theme if you are using it in WPO?

 * I emptied the caching of the theme and the problem was still there. I get the
   impression JS is minified when the HTML processing is switched on. As soon as
   I turned it off, the problem disappeared. Is the plugin minifying JS even when
   it says disabled above but html processing on?
