    Hi– it’s the 2nd day I’ve been trying to do the migration… but after several hours of waiting each time, there’s no progress visible, and the Migrator process is stuck at “Transfer started. Creating archives of files…”. Please advise how to get the migration started. Thank you.

    Hello @va-cape,

    It seems that the archive our plugin is trying to create is too large or there are too many files on your site. Either of the above will cause the archive generation process to exceed the server limits and timeout. The exact reason, however, can be checked in the server’s error logs.

    The full setup size is 1.29 GB –is that too big for the plugin to archive and migrate?

    We cannot determine the exact reason behind the failure. I would recommend you to check if the file and directories’ permissions are correctly set, depending on the remote service’s requirements. Also, you can check with the support team of that service if there are any descriptive errors logged on their end.

    I have also noticed that there was an error related to the getsite() PHP function used by our plugin to determine the storage occupied by the application. The function is not modified and you can review and test it as explained below.

    I believe I am stuck too. What can I look at the file system in either the source or destination site to see if it’s actually working? Any tips on diagnosing where it’s getting hung?
