You don’t need to touch DB in order to migrate. Simply export and import XML.
Export and import XML is very bad way to migrate on new domain.
I need to touch DB, otherwise i need recreate custom post type, custom taxonomy, custom fields, nggallery, all setting of my site, etc..
But if you talk about export “Contact Forms” only – this works good, thanks for advice!
But I still do not understand, why fields CF7 are cleared on replace strings on DB. Many people do this by migrate.
Glad to hear you resolved the issue. Yes, I meant export “Contact Forms” only. Please change the topic status to “resolved” if it’s resolved.
why fields CF7 are cleared on replace strings on DB
I don’t understand what do you mean by this. Can you be more specific, please?
OK. I got it. Could you tell me what version of WordPress and Contact Form 7 do you use?
Thank you. I’m looking into it.
Did a test but couldn’t reproduce the export/import issue on my side. It works with no problem.
There id no problem with export/import. Problem, whis i replacing “olddomen” to “newdomen” in DB.
You should have no problems with CF7 if you migrate WordPress successfully from one domain to another. I’ve done hundreds of sites without ever getting any issues.
I suspect you have had a general problem with your WordPress migration which may be affecting many items other than CF7.
For general info on migrating WordPress see How to move a WordPress site to a new site.
It’s not first time problem. I’ve done at least a hundred sites also. In 95% times i have this problem.
Maybe it is in russian lacale only
Thanks looks like “Search Replace DB v 2.1.0” work fine.
I am trying Migrate also before. It have the same problem
